Operation Tips

 

 

Q: Why is the silicon mold oily?

 

A: The molding silicone rubber itself doesn’t contain any oil, so it won’t be oily. If the mold is oily, it may be because of two reasons:

You add the compound silicone oil (the compound of silicon oil and white oil). The white oil is not silicon oil but a kind of petrochemicals.

Your supplier adds to much silicone oil when they producing silicone rubber or reducing the hardness of silicone rubber.

 

 

 

Q: Why does the silicone rubber appear to be dry outside but wet inside?

 

A: It gets solidified after absorbing moisture from the air. You can add 0.05% water into the silicon rubber and stir over a low speed briefly when you use it.

 

 

Q: How to get rid of the bubbles during my mold making?

 

A: After mixing liquid silicone with a curing agent, please put the materials into the vacuum machine to take off the bubbles
