Ruihe 6250 Series is low viscosity silicone rubber are suitable for a wide variety of application areas--food grade products such as baby pacifiers, baby bottles, bottle caps, baby tableware, baby toys, series products, ect. It has charateristic of high transparency, high strength, good resilience, small deformation value, yellowing resistance and aging resistance.

 

Key material properties of silicone rubber include its fast curing and low compression set, its resistance to tearing, heat, water and oil, its transparency and electrical insulation, and its overall strength and long life. You can use LSR at temperatures between -40°C to 200°C (-40°F – 392°F), expose it to wind, rain and UV light for extended periods of time, or immerse it in water, oil or solvents. The various grades of LSR possess material properties that can stand up to even the most demanding applications.

LSR Injection molding process

Liquid silicone rubbers are supplied in barrels. Because of their low viscosity, these rubbers can be pumped through pipelines and tubes to the vulcanization equipment. The two components are pumped through a static mixer by a metering pump. One of the components contains the catalyst, typically platinum based. A coloring paste as well as other additives can also be added before the material enters the static mixer section. In the static mixer the components are well mixed and are transferred to the cooled metering section of the injection molding machine. The static mixer renders a very homogeneous material that results in products that are not only very consistent throughout the part, but also from part to part. This is in contrast to solid silicone rubber materials that are purchased pre-mixed and partially vulcanized. In contrast, hard silicone rubbers are processed by transfer molding and result in less material consistency and control, leading to higher part variability. Additionally, solid silicone rubber materials are processed at higher temperatures and require longer vulcanization times.

2, Don't use any silicone oil in mold making, because it can make the silicone mould become too soft to use.

 

3, Silicone mould can be used longer after the whole silicone mould fully cured, so it's better to wait 2 hours after mould finished.

 

6. Why silicone rubber add curing agent after mixing a lot of bubbles?

 

--This is normal physical phenomena. The liquid will produce a large number of bubbles in the mixing time, so, it must pass through the vacuum exhaust bubble treatment.
